The West African Tax Administration Forum (WATAF) facilitated a virtual knowledge sharing session on Value Added Tax (VAT) automation between the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Nigeria and Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), on 1st November, 2021.
The discussion focused on legal framework for VAT automation, the Scope, the challenges encountered and measures taken to address them.
Tax officials in attendance confirmed that the session was educative and informative. One of WATAF’s core mandate is to encourage knowledge sharing and promote collaboration amongst tax authorities within West Africa and beyond. We are happy that the FIRS and KRA benefited from this platform and we are committed to support tax administrations that may require similar assistance.
