West African Tax Administration Forum (WATAF)
WATAF was established through an adoption of Agreement by the General Assembly of member states to contribute to the efficacy of tax administration and improved public service delivery in support of the development of countries in West Africa.
Abuja, Nigeria | 8 July 2026 – The West African Tax Administration Forum (WATAF) and the ECOWAS Directorate of Taxation and Customs have reaffirmed their commitment to advancing a common regional agenda for stronger tax administration, enhanced domestic revenue mobilisation, and sustainable economic development across West Africa.
