The Secretariat

The secretariat is seated in Nigeria and is headed by the Executive Secretary.
It is staffed by such other officials as appointed by the Executive Secretary in terms of guidelines to be approved by the council and is saddled with the responsibility of promoting the collective interests of WATAF

Jules Tapsoba

Executive Secretary

Mr. Jules Tapsoba is a senior executive within the Burkina Faso Tax Administration and formerly served as Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on Public Finance issues. Mr. Tapsoba, an Economist and Tax expert, currently serves as a Technical Assistant for ECOWAS and UEMOA, based in Abuja, Nigeria. Mr. Tapsoba is also a member of the IMF expert panel, a leadership trainer, and an accredited TADAT evaluator. He has acted as a public finance consultant for the World Bank, the Delegation of the European Union, Expertise France, UNICEF, AFD, and USAID.
